Founded on a Simple Belief
Capitol Commodity Hedging Services first opened for business in 1983, at a time when other brokerage firms were losing the desire to provide personal service.
It was founded on the belief that no two investors were the same, and that no 'one-size-fits-all' approach could truly meet each investor's needs. The goal was to devise a system flexible enough to meet the needs of seasoned traders and new investors alike.
40 years later, we're proud of the way Capitol Commodity Hedging Services has fulfilled its early promise. As of our forty-year anniversary, we've received only two complaints. That's two too many as far as we're concerned. Yet, even we have to admit one complaint every twenty years is pretty impressive, especially in this business.
Nevertheless, as proud as we are about our past, it's the future that really excites us. Recent years have brought exhilarating changes to the industry. And Capitol Commodity Hedging Services has advanced with the times.

Agriculture Is in His Blood
Lannie understands farmers because he has spent decades working with them. He knows that farmers are naturally bullish — they have to be, because they take enormous risk every season. His approach to agricultural hedging respects that psychology while helping producers lock in enough certainty to sleep at night.
